Shortell Law LLC recently assisted a couple in a second-parent adoption matter.  Our firm was able to prevail without the natural father's consent by arguing that the natural father abandoned the child.

Meanwhile, our client provided the care, nurturing, and safe environment for the child.  Shortell Law LLC was able to persuade the court that establishing the legal relationship of parent and child between our client and the child was in the child's best interests.
